I was inspired by a book called 'Emblas Universum' which was found in the library in Sweden.
The scene is related to my main project about outer space.

Reinterpretation of the story "The Three Little Pigs"

This is the  Visual Narrative Module work in my MA course, which is the
reinterpretation of the classic children’s story “The Three Little Pigs”.

My story is about three artists who want to become famous.  Three of them lived
a poor studio, drawing all the time. But two of them left the studio with the desire of
being successful quickly. They copied others’ works and received much publicity, but
are arrested soon by police. After a long time, the another pig who stayed alone, fully
focusing on his own works, finally became famous by winning a prize and he gained
huge wealth and fame.

About me

JAY EUNJI LEE

Jay Eunji Lee is a children's book author and illustrator based in Korea. She graduated with an MA in Sequential Design/Illustration from the University of Brighton in 2014, where she achieved a Distinction. She studied Art Education and worked as an art teacher for several years in Korea. During that time, Jay realised that learning art can make children more motivated, confident and imaginative. She wanted children to have more access to art, and decided to create picture books with various activities that children could enjoy. During her MA course Jay started her first book, The Way To Outer Space, which is about a girl's journey to another planet created by her drawings and includes three different craft activities, which encourage children to use their imaginations. This book will be published by Oxford University Press UK in 2016.

Jay is currently working on her second picture book and a wide range of illustrations. She also is showcasing her work at exhibitions and events in the UK and Korea.

Jay is a member of the Fabula Collective, which is a group of international artists from her MA course in Brighton. Fabula organises exhibitions, events and workshops at galleries, libraries and art fairs in the UK and other countries.
